GLAD TIDINGS

It is indeed the festive season. From December to February of the New Year, there’s always a festive cheer in the air. December is also our end of year school holidays, so parents often take their families on overseas vacations.
Christmas falls in December too. Orchard Road springs to life with the annual Christmas Light-up and throngs of shoppers in preparation for the festivals ahead. In the evenings, the cheerfully lit structures form the settings for photographs of the most contrived poses. Overhead, the festive streetlights lead the way for merry-makers and add happy cheer to the celebrations.
On the 23 December, Mum, May and Shannon visited us with high tea in tow. There were pastries and sweets displayed on an impressive three-tiered stand vieled by a beautiful conical structure that boasted a rendering of the Raffles Hotel. The little morsels were delightful visually and to taste. We had a good catch-up over tea.
